Understanding Your Musculature
Musculature plays a crucial role in maintaining posture, balance, and overall physical function. When muscles are injured or weakened, it can lead to pain and limited mobility. We aim to address these issues through targeted treatments that enhance muscle strength and flexibility.
Typical muscular issues include:
- Muscle Imbalances: Which can cause joint stress and pain
- Weak Muscles: Which may lead to poor posture and movement patterns
- Tight Muscles: Often results in restricted movement and discomfort
Tools and Techniques We Use
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy involves hands-on techniques designed to mobilise joints, reduce muscle tension, and improve function. This can include techniques such as joint mobilisation/manipulation, soft tissue techniques, and myofascial release.
Our skilled practitioners have post-graduate qualifications to ensure safe and effective treatment
Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic exercises are customized programs designed to address specific physical impairments and functional limitations. These exercises aim to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination. Whether you are recovering from an injury, rehabilitating pre/post surgery or managing a chronic condition, our targeted exercise plans help you regain function, prevent future injuries, and maintain a healthy lifestyle
Acupuncture
Acupuncture, an ancient practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, is integrated into our physiotherapy treatments to promote healing and pain relief. By inserting fine needles into specific points on the body, acupuncture can help to reduce inflammation, stimulate natural healing processes, and alleviate chronic pain. Our certified practitioners ensure a safe and effective treatment tailored to your needs
Rehab Pilates
Rehab Pilates focuses on controlled movements and exercises that enhance core strength, flexibility, and postural alignment. This approach is particularly beneficial for rehabilitation, as it supports the recovery process and helps prevent re-injury. Our Pilates Classes are designed to improve your strength, balance, coordination, and overall physical function, contributing to long-term wellness and injury prevention
